So what is better using a raise garden bed where you and your own soil or ground level where you use the earths soil?
I would like to start growing some veggies this year, which route should I go?

Raised garden beds are good because they will have good drainage. However, if you have large farmland, it is quite not possible to grow in raised beds. If you are planting in a small area, you should use a raised bed.
