Works and the possible toxicity related to this?

I found out that in button mushroom production, the medium that they will be grown on is prepared by adding formaldehyde and bavastin (a fungicide). Could someone give me an overview of how this works and the possible toxicity related to this?

If you are using Chemicals added solvents then it is really a toxic paste so it is bad for our health.

Formaldehyde is a toxin & I agree with [USER=23]@ramesh[/USER] . I'm sure there are other solutions that are not toxic & won't harm people, creatures, or the environment.
