Using Manure for Fertilizer
#1
Is it cheaper than fertilizer? Well, animals cost a lot to raise. Anyway, I'm sure manure is as good as fertilizer. Who agrees?

Manure is not cheaper than chemical fertilizer if you are not raising cattle and if you are buying manure. If you are raising chicken for meat or cows for milk, the cost of manure is almost zero.

Manure can be quite cost-effective depending on if you use your own or buy it. I grew up on acreage & the farm down the street used the hay to feed their livestock. They in turn gave us meat & spread manure on our garden in the springtime. Wasn't pleasant smelling lol but it yielded good crops.
