Who has taken vocational courses related to gardening?

I took a week of vocational course here with a local gardener long back, but after that some reasons I stopped in gardening. In the course we just learn how to plant and maintain during its growth and life long.
I think it takes more time in learning for the growth of plants, but most courses are only for week or 2 weeks.
