What is the meaning of Tilling Soil ?

Basically tilling is when you brake up the soil before planting, and you which kills of a lot of the insects and microbes, not sure if it’s the best route to go

Tilling the soil means plowing the field, letting the soil bake i the sun, and then adding organic matter to the soil and plowing again so that it is ready for plantation.

Thanks for your post with plenty of information Tilling soil and never thought to till soil in containers and now I have to do in several pots.

Tilling makes plants to be healthy and grow fast with aeration too.

If you don't till the soil, it's going to be very difficult for you to actually cultivate on it and your crops will definitely not do well because their roots can't get deep in the soil to get all the required nutrients they need to grow well.
