Considering sand isn't a great soil, I'm wondering how large scale farming with irrigation can take place. Anyway, there is surely enough sunshine for crops - of course.
OK, who has experience growing in sand, the beach, and/or the desert?

Some crops can be easily grown in sand. I have never done this but I have seen a lot of farmers growing watermelons on the sandy river banks. If you want to grow other crop, you need to add a lot of clay and organic matter to the soil before planting.

I ve been in the mid of the continent so never seen seashore plants and its growth but heard some of the plants can be grown their due to weather conditions and these plants are unable to grow on soil.
I wonder which type of plants are mostly grown since the roots will crash when the sand disappears.
