Japanese people Maples are very challenging plants and can adjust to many places. We have a very awesome sample that we placed the first of Apr 20 years back and it is still doing very well.

You can plant and try them for once and see how it grows, but my best suggestion is maintain the plant frequently.

Did you end up planting any more? How did it go in your area?
From the time stamp, it is now 27 years. Do you still have your plant?

You will face problems due to climate conditions, but here we have seen japanese Mango plant had doing very well, so I am hoping it will do same for you.
Any updates after a long time?
