Farm is big term, but if you just want to develop a few vegetation, it wouldn't be that difficult.
You could buy increasing camp tents that are designed for increasing in the house and covering what you are doing. They fit in many wardrobes, and are really simple to cover up based on what dimension you get.
This little acquire covering from my regional hydro shop is 2' x 4' and is under $200:
There are even less expensive ones on Amazon, but you should always pay interest to the high company's item when you buy something like this from Amazon for inexpensive costs.
Obviously you will need all the lighting, ballasts, electronic timers and nutritional value as well, which can be purchased on amazon or at your regional hydro shop.

I was considering hydroponic lettuce but a buddy informed me that I cannot because the lettuce needs cool climatic conditions.
Temperatures: average: 24 C / 72 F
Height: 700 mts / 2296 ft above sea level.
Soil: clay
Location: North America
It's stormy in winter season but I'm building garden greenhouses to control rain fall, ground and insects.
