Many places have droughts at times. How do you deal with it? Well, one way is via irrigation, where water is brought to plants artificially.

During the dry season, you can try drip irrigation. Drip irrigation can help you water your plants during the drought. Plastic mulching can also be highly beneficial.

Planting native plants. Especially those that are drought resistant & need minimal water. What I'd do is look up your area as to what is growing well & do a search. That's what I have done. I also have rain barrels to collect water. Some people use the gray water from washing dishes.
