Is my soil wrong for carrots?

In order to grow carrots, you need to lose soil, you will have to add a lot of organic matter rich in phosphorous and potassium. You also need raised beds for carrots or have good drainage.

In these days Drainage comes with readymade bags or containers, although drainage was not a problem when I tried to grow carrots. I was not successful during that time and planning currently to grow again.
