I design to have a raised backyard next year, and I'm thinking if it would be really helpful to add earthworms to my garden soil. If so, approximately how many per square foot of garden? Thank you!

I have a little place I ought to gate off. What elements would I need? The floor is distinctly hard. Would I have to till up the whole thing? Add extra soil? What could I plant? Can you solely do it certain instances a year? Could I use chickens to consume the bugs as an alternative of pesticides? I live in Texas, where it is very hot and hardly ever rains, if that matters.

I commenced a backyard and composter for the first time this year and it has been without a doubt rewarding, even with some setbacks. I absolutely choose to grow Heirloom greens because I should effortlessly attain GMOs from my groccery store. Are Heirloom veggies tougher to develop for establishing gardner's?
