Do you mean growth throughout the whole year or just a one-time growth?

Hydroponics is excellent, but let’s take mint as an example. Mint can be grown both in soil and in hydroponics. In hydroponics, it grows cleanly and can be harvested without any dust, which is a big advantage.

However, since mint can be harvested multiple times and grows very easily, I personally feel it is more naturally suited to soil cultivation. While hydroponics offers cleanliness and control, I still prefer growing mint in soil.

That’s a great point—mint is so hardy it really thrives in soil with minimal effort. Hydroponics does offer a cleaner harvest, but for such an easy-growing plant, soil feels more natural and practical. Both methods definitely have their own advantages.

You could try growing mint and spinach. Both are quite easy to grow hydroponically and don’t require much space, so they can work well on a rooftop or even at home. I’ve grown mint before, and it grows quite easily, but it does need some maintenance from time to time.
