Almond Tree

Here in our state, the government has been planting almond trees along the lanes. However, some nearby property owners are cutting them down. I really wish these trees could be allowed to grow and stay alive. People are building towers everywhere and not even leaving a single small tree to provide fresh air and shade for the homes around them.

These trees could also provide badam (almonds) for everyone once they mature. I just don’t understand why people are so desperate for money from rents that they are willing to sacrifice even the little greenery we have left.
